The networks of contacts are essential to develop a business project. How do you build?

Can we improve our social capital? Sometimes, we tend to think that our network depends on our personality and our location in the world, and that therefore there is not much to do.

However, it is a false belief. The creation of networking tends to be a skill that a personality characteristic. As skills are acquired, anyone can improve their capital beyond what their personality.

On the other hand, it is true that our network tends to be conditioned on our activities. But networks are not only conditioning but also by choice. Many entrepreneurs understand that to form a company that creates value should generate contacts in spite of his personality and his conditioning. What can we do?

1) To assess our social capital

When you do not know what their social capital tends to underestimate its value. Knowing what type of social capital we have, analyzing how it is understood our network and what are its salient features, requires a commitment of time and energy, but it’s worth.

There sociometric surveys that help us to this end, diagnosing the size of our network and the social structure of their organization. In general, the results of this analysis shows that most have a network smaller and less diverse than we think.
