Hemorrhage

It is important to remember that before any type of bleeding that can compromise the victim, it must be addressed with all the precautions and, if possible, in a place which can implement the necessary measures to save a life.
Along with the fever and pain, bleeding is one of the most common symptoms of illness or injury. The body has mechanisms to prevent or stop bleeding, which together are called homeostasis.
Hemostasis, then, can be defined as the complex series of biological phenomena that occur as an immediate response wing of a blood vessel injury. The injured vessel contracts, but this contraction is generally insufficient to stop the bleeding. Seconds later the platelets bind to the injured area. Thus, the lumen is progressively occluded by a platelet mass known by the name of homeostatic platelet plug.
This at first is permeable, allowing a small leakage of blood.
It soon becomes impermeable or consolidated, and the hole closes. During this period it has begun the process of blood clotting, and it is clear fibrin deposition, especially at the periphery of the cap.
Factors involved in homeostasis extra vascular and intra vascular. Extra vascular factors are those that are located or exert their action outside the vessels. Vascular factors are those that are found in the blood vessel wall. Intra vascular factors are those that are located or exert their action within you glasses.
Bleeding is important for the functions that blood must fulfill: to nourish the cells, carries oxygen and regulate body temperature. To meet these needs of the body has about five liters of blood, which contains red blood cells, white cells and platelets, and also because the blood travel all the elements that the body ingests.
The bleeding can be classified in subcutaneous, internal or external.
